Welcome
Welcome to the home page of the Houston Association of Legal Professionals (HALP), a local chapter of NALS . . . the association for legal professionals and of the Texas Association of Legal Professionals. HALP was chartered as a chapter of NALS on January 25, 1956, and is a nonprofit, nonunion, nonpartisan, nonsectarian educational association.
Houston ALP has two primary directives: promoting the certification programs of NALS and providing continuing education opportunities for members and nonmember legal support staff in the Greater Houston area.
We are committed to delivery of quality legal services through continuing education and increased professionalism, promoting a standard for members and recognition in the legal profession through the certification program, and providing networking opportunities for members.
This site is intended to provide visitors with information about membership in our association and its benefits; education and certification programs; local, state, regional, and national activities; and other information useful to the legal professional.
Please feel free to contact us (membership@houstonalp.org) for additional information about our association. We welcome your feedback or questions.

Houston ALP will collect hygiene, beauty products, and cell phones at our monthly education and business meetings for Northwest Assistance Ministries (NAM). NAM is a nonprofit, community-based, multi-program social service agency that strives to supply basic human needs through neighbors helping neighbors.
NAM is in dire need of hygiene and beauty products. In addition, they collect old cell phones which are provided to people who may need to be able to reach 911. A representative from NAM will attend an education meeting to pick up the items collected and to talk with us about their organization.
More information concerning NAM can be found on their Web site at www.namonline.org.

Wreaths Across America
Remember, Honor, and Teach
Help Us Reach Our Goal |
|
The annual wreath laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery started in 1992 is now performed around the country. The Wreaths Across America–Houston ceremony is at the Houston National Cemetery on December 10, 2011, at 11 a.m.
It’s an exciting year, so we hope you will join us in our effort to honor all 59,000 heroes with their own wreath. Please share our information and spread the word so we can continue to honor our American soldiers…one wreath at a time. Click here to donate!
